Unlike conference phones, regular
desk telephones usually only
have one small single direction microphone.
This tiny hidden microphone is usually
located under the front edge of the
phone. This works fine for one
person speaking into the direction
of the phone on their desk, but not
for conferencing or carrying on a
conversation with more than one
person.

pick up sound from a full 360 degree
radius.
By positioning the microphones
around the perimeter of the
conference phone, conversations are
carried out with clear, full
